Randy Levine ("we", "us", "our") operates the LockIn mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
LockIn collects the following information:
- Account information: Name and email address provided when you sign in with Google or Apple. We do not store your password; authentication is handled entirely by your sign-in provider.
- Preferences: Your selected favorite sports, leagues, and teams.
- Chat messages: Conversations with the AI assistant are stored to provide conversation history.
- Usage data: Message counts and token usage for enforcing daily and monthly usage limits.
We do not collect location data, device identifiers for advertising, contacts, photos, or any data beyond what is listed above.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide personalized sports scores and content based on your preferences.
- Power AI chat conversations relevant to your favorite teams and sports.
- Enforce usage limits based on your subscription tier.
- Improve the app experience and fix issues.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
LockIn uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase: Authentication, data storage, and serverless functions. Supabase stores your account information, preferences, chat history, and usage data. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI: AI chat responses. Your chat messages are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI does not use API data for model training. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- TheSportsDB: Sports data including scores, standings, and team information. No user data is sent to TheSportsDB.
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: Authentication only. We receive your name and email address from your sign-in provider. No additional profile data is accessed.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with row-level security (RLS) policies, ensuring you can only access your own data. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage (expo-secure-store). All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
5. Data Retention
Your account data and chat history are retained as long as you have an active account. You can:
- Delete individual chat conversations at any time from within the app.
- Delete all chat history at once from the Chats tab.
- Delete your entire account and all associated data (see Account Deletion).
Upon account deletion, all your personal data is permanently removed from our servers. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you.
6. Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In the app: Go to Profile → Delete Account. Your data is deleted immediately.
- Via the web: Visit our Account Deletion page and submit a request. We will process it within 7 business days.
- Via email: Contact randylevine71@gmail.com with your account email address.
Deletion permanently removes your account information, preferences, chat history, and usage data. This action cannot be undone.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (see Account Deletion).
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data.
- Objection: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know: You can request details about the personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Right to delete: You can request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
9. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the App's services (account management, chat functionality, personalized content).
- Legitimate interest: Processing for service improvement and usage enforcement.
- Consent: Where required, we obtain your consent before processing.
You have all the rights listed in Section 7, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children's Privacy
LockIn is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at randylevine71@gmail.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
